Texaco Golf Club is a par 72 course between 6,200 and 6,300 yards in length. It has many interesting holes which offer a stiff challenge to the ability of its golfers.
The Texaco Country Club was founded August 30th, 1924. We are a Golf Club that is semi-private and supported primarily by the revenues generated from membership dues and sales associated with the golf course. We are proud of our long heritage and community involvement. Texaco Country Club was among the first clubs in 1967 to work with the Houston Golf Association as volunteers for the Houston Open PGA Golf Tournament. For over 30 years our associations involvement with the H.G.A. has become a tradition at Texaco Country Club.
In 1999 we marked our clubs 75th Anniversary with a gala celebration in October. Our hope is that you will want to continue the tradition and join the fun at Texaco Country Club by becoming a member today.

Gus Wortham Park golf course is situated along Brays Bayou in the south central area of Houston. The course is now managed and maintained by City of Houston golf operations staff, following many years of private management.
Gus Wortham provides challenges not regularly found in Houston. Elevated tees and uphill carries to greens make you use all your clubs. The course is relatively wide open, making it attractive for all levels of golfers. The front nine features three consecutive par five holes, two of which you may want to go for in two. Your shot- making skills will be tested on several of the "short but challenging" par fours. Playing to as much as 6400 yards, Gus Wortham is a fun course located only minutes from downtown.
Recent improvements include renovated bunkers and a new fleet of electric golf cars. A full driving range is available for practice or warming up. Additional practice areas include a putting green, chipping green, and practice bunker. The pro shop staff is available for lessons. Tee times are available on weekends and holidays.
The combination of friendly staff, high quality maintenance, inside the loop location and affordable prices make Gus Wortham well worth the price. Gus Wortham is a non-metal spike facility. Fully stocked pro shop and full snack bar.
